Ainda é cedo para impressões mais elaboradas sobre Humbug,o novíssimo disco do Arctic Monkeys. A banda de Alex Turner, chega ao terceiro álbum com novidades, explorando sonoridades e selando a parceria com Josh Homme, do Queens of Stone Age.
Homme, tem no currículo colaborações com Strokes, Pj Harvey, Peaches, entre outros, e sinaliza uma maior maturidade musical para o Arctic Monkeys. O pós punk segue, mas com elementos mais sombrios e um pouco de psicodelia pop.
Por enquanto digo que apesar do clipe medonho, gosto muito de primeiro single Crying Lightning, que me faz lembrar os Monkeys do primeiro álbum porém muito menos gritado. My Propeller, Fire and the Thude, Secret Door e Cornerstone também estão entre as minhas favoritas, ironicamente todas pegam bem mais leve nos riffs de guitarra.
